Just a short walk from the heart of the island, Dining at Djitsun Mall Ang Mo Kio Singapore gives you the best shopping experience in town. Whether your budget is large or small, there is a restaurant for every taste and budget. From simple street stalls serving food and drinks on an open air platform to international-style restaurants with high-class service, there are plenty of options to consider.
“If I had to choose between a burger and sushi, I would choose a burger. The combination of the fresh vegetables and meat on top was just wonderful. I also really like the large portions. I’ve never been hungry in my life until I dined here. There are so many great restaurants here, I could eat at least four a week and never go hungry.”
“I have never been to a restaurant that offers such fresh and fabulous local seafood. The local seafood is just great. It’s really something special. If you are looking for some authentic Singaporean food, then you should definitely try this restaurant.”
“Djitsun Mall is known for its fantastic shopping experiences and authentic Singaporean dining experiences. As a non-Singaporean, I was really excited to try out the buffet lunch which is located within the mall. My dining experience was great as I got to sample not one but three dishes all created by local Singaporean chefs. The hokkien mee and oyster omelette were to die for, while my beef satay was simply delicious.
“I love going to the Djisun Gallery as it allows me to combine my passion for art with amazing food. I had the gourmet Chinese food, which was so fresh and aromatic. The hokkien mee was a huge surprise, as it tasted so differently from the normal fee. I couldn’t believe how fresh and fragrant it was – I literally had to take another bite!
“I absolutely love the atmosphere of this restaurant. When we first walked in, I almost felt like we were in a movie – as this restaurant exudes a very oriental feel. The decor and service were great, and the prices are quite affordable for such a unique experience. I would definitely come here to try out this restaurant and the other three restaurants in the mall – I just love the atmosphere of the place.”
“I absolutely love coming here during weekends. The place is always packed on weekends. The DJ always has a great set of music to keep you partying until the wee hours. The food here is very good – not too expensive, but definitely worth every penny. They serve the best tasting food you can get in Malaysia – definitely something you won’t find in Singapore.”
All in all, from the experience of the customers that have given their feedback to the five-star quality of the restaurant that is being run, I think the negatives far outweigh the positives. But hey, it’s only one night a week – what do you lose? Besides, you know you’re here to have fun and have a good time, right? Get ready to party hard at any of the five-star-hotels in the area like Ang Mo Kio or the nearby Marriott and stay at one of the posh hotels that I’ve mentioned in this Bitesize Bangkok review – I’m sure you’ll love the experience.
If you want a taste of Asia without having to leave the country, you should try the Chicken Rice Buffet. The buffet line up is pretty long, and the price for a person is $20 for a meal that will feed you and a friend. However, the buffet isn’t just a feast for your taste buds – it also includes a large number of side dishes, so that you can choose exactly what you want to eat. You can even choose from an array of Vietnamese specialties. The prices are cheap and the quality is quite good, I’ve been there a couple of times and the food is always delicious.
For a more personal experience, you can always opt to dine at one of the many Chaweng restaurants that are found here in DJISUN. The La Conch Cabo restaurant is located inside the mall. The interior design is very elegant and gives off a very warm atmosphere, reminiscent of South East Asia. The bar area is quite large and there is usually a line of people waiting to get served. You can order anything from appetizers to starters and everything in between. All of the dishes are made with the freshest ingredients and have a great fresh taste to them – I highly recommend this place for a relaxing evening.
Lastly, I would recommend checking out some of the lesser known restaurants in the mall. There are a plethora of Thai and Japanese restaurants, as well as Kaki (Indonesian) spots. However, if you don’t like spicy food, you might want to stick to something more mild. Either way, you will never run out of options when you venture out of the DJISUN mall. I highly recommend going out of the mall and experiencing all of the above for a full-blown cultural experience.
