The Iviera is a high quality luxury apartment complex that was redeveloped by the Macly Group and Win Shen Heng Holdings. The exclusive development contains 51 apartments units on the Kim Yang Road in Singapore. On the opening weekend of sales, 14 of the 20 released apartments were bought up quickly at the price of $2,640 per square foot. The excellent market price achieved reflects the quality workmanship of the redevelopment project as well as the stylish design and interior work.
The new apartments are a redevelopment of the Riviera Point on Kim Yam Road in the highly desirable District 9 near to Newton. The free hold project offers 3 bedroom apartments plus a study room, with floorspace averaging 913 square feet.
Although the redevelopment was a joint venture, between Macly Group and Win Shen Heng Holdings, the design and overall look of the project was the work of Joan Chang, the daughter of Herman Chang, the Macly Group’s founder and managing director.
Joan Chang has said that she was inspired by a holiday trip to the Big Apple, New York City, where she soaked up the culture and styles of the city that never sleeps. Having explored the city looking for inspiration Joan Chang found the design style and feel that she was looking for at the famous New York City landmark of the Flatiron Building.
The unique Flatiron building is triangular shaped steel structure, a concept which was mirrored in the new Iveria development. The stunning Flatiron Building was completed in 1902 and represents a peak in New York’s history of bold architectural projects.
The Iviera complex is wedge shaped, which Joan Chang describes as ‘a modern interpretation of the Flatiron Building’. The interiors of the apartments are very modern as well, with mostly monochromatic colour schemes and rich marble flooring. The apartments also contain textured walls and panels, as well as feature walls in lounge areas.
The Iviera was designed by JPG Architects Firm and represents the very best of modern, chic luxury that will appeal to the new, up and coming affluent generations. Despite being inspired by an early 20th Century building the Iviera is very much of the new century, and reflects the best of modern architecture, design and interior creativity.
The most desirable units in the development, according to Joan Chang, will undoubtedly be the upper floor apartments owing to their fantastic views across the city.
